In July 2001, naturane became the first system to be completely approved by Globalgap. Our cooperatives are all naturane /Globalgap certified, and in most cases they also have BRC and/or IFS certificates - food safety standards for packing house management which are required by our customers.

GLOBALGAP, the Global Partnership for Good Agricultural Practice, is an international private sector body that sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products around the globe. The Globalgap standard is primarily designed to reassure consumers about how food is produced on the farm by minimising the detrimental environmental impacts of farming operations, reducing the use of chemicals and ensuring a responsible approach to worker health and safety.

BRC, the British Retail Consortium’s standard is used by British distributors and retailers to ensure that suppliers meet food safety requirements.

IFS, the International Food Standard, is a standard set up by large French and German distribution companies to regulate quality management systems in the food industry to achieve maximum safety levels in food manufacturing and/or handling.
